The Bells
Having lived in Southern California for 35 years the history and my familiarity with these beautiful Missions will keep my interest for some time. The architecture and the history, the feeling of both tranquility and spirituality, are of great interest to me. I feel that these Missions are very alive and reflect every aspect of basic life.
These other paintings reflect my belief in the innate kindness of mankind. I usually begin, for example, with finding a piece of bark that interests me as inspiration. Invariably the painting takes shape around the idea of the support in our community. I find these paintings to be a gift to myself.
